The move to Houston was anything but uneventful. I knew I would be moving the same day as the Visions show so I knew I'd be a full day but what a pain! We started as early as possible and still ended leaving Louisiana later than planned so I started the "how long do I have till the show vs. What we have left to do" math. Wasn't looking great. Ok, came to terms that I would have to just show up a little late. Following the U-haul I watched as any chance of me making it at all disintregrated with the back tire of the truck. As I watched chunk of the rubber fly off my heart broke. My very first gallery type show and a celebration of women (totally my thing) and I wasnt going to be there. U-haul was good and sent someone to fix the tire for us and we unloaded at our new homestead but not before midnight. Now I've been spending weeks trying to organize and unpack it all. I may have missed the Visions show but when I went to pick the painting up at the gallery I got the picture of me and my daughter in front to my painting in the space. For me that was something I am so proud of, something my daughter is proud of and a memory my daughter can keep forever. "New, bigger and better" is my new motto so I'll keep you posted!! Much Love- Lady Jane
The top pic is the first time I took my daughter to an art museum and the bottom is the proud moment I got to pose with her in front of my own painting hanging in an exhibit.
